As a single mother of two, I had given up on the idea of taking care of myself.
There just wasn’t enough time.
That all changed this summer when I found you and Get Fit America .
I came to you with only one request: make me healthy again.
Through the Get Fit program and your expertise, I have learned so much about my body, how it uses food for energy and the importance of eating right and exercise.
I have regained my self-confidence and am able to instill these core values in my daughters.
You have been an incredible source of inspiration and motivation!
I completed the program with great results and still look forward to training with you every week….I’m hooked!
The Get Fit team is passionate about what they do…changing lives…one individual at a time!
Kind regards,
Amy

I have been going to Get Fit America Personal Training in Boca Raton since April 2008.
I needed to lose about 35 pounds.
I had tried dieting and exercising and the result would be the same. I would do fine for a little while and then I would just put back on the weight and then some.
Matt is my (the best!) personal trainer at Get Fit America and he has taught me how to eat right by eating healthy foods and not counting calories.
He also worked with me three times a week and planned workouts for me and my abilities. He also sends me emails and text messages to help me stay motivated when I am not at the Gym.
Matt has truly motivated me and has helped me lose 26 pounds of fat to date!
I love going to Get Fit America since all of the personal trainers are so professional and the Gym has such a nice, warm, relaxed atmosphere.
I would highly recommend Get Fit America to anyone who is serious about losing weight, feeling good, and developing a healthy lifestyle that will continue long into the future.
Denise

Teen and Youth Fitness
You know how important good diet and routine exercise is for you but what about for your children. It’s just as important for them! Getting them into the right habits earlier will give them a lifetime of benefits.
We know more and more schools are cutting budgets and taking out after school physical activities- some are even removing physical education from their curriculum altogether. Why not do something about it? Bring them down to Get Fit America for one on one training and coaching. Whether your child is striving to be a better athlete, trying to lose weight or just wants to be more active GFA is the place where they can do it all.
Not only is exercise good for our bodies but it is also good for our minds as well. Confidence, enthusiam and motivation are guaranteed to increase with each session. These positive changes will also transpire in their academic and personal lives. So why not get them off the couch and away from the video games and television. You may end up with a lifelong workout partner!

I read an article recently that introduced a few new studies that relate dieting, stress and binge eating. These new studies prove that there is a very realistic link.
Three aspects of behavior were tested motivation, anticipation and intake. The group of rats who were subjected to mild shocks (to simulate stress) and underfeeding- ran twice as fast and ate twice as much as rats that had experienced one or none of the above tactics. Both factors had to be present in order for the three behaviors to be intestified.
What does this tell us? Starving ourselves is not a productive or healthy way to lose weight. We are always under some type of stress (remember there is good stress) but when we add the component of not eating or attempting some type of extreme dieting we are only setting ourselves up for bindging later on.
What can you do? Eat at least 3 meals a day (but 5 small meals are optimal) with the caloric intake of now less than 1,200 calories including all the major food groups. Daily meditaion and exercise are always ways to control the stress factors that will inveitably enter your life.
Visit one of the trainers at Get Fit America for the perfect balance of diet, nutrition and exercise. With their expertise you will be on your way to having a productive and long lasting workout and health routine. There are weekly assessments and guidance that will keep you on target with your goals. GFA will give you the tools and confidence you need to keep your fitness and nutrition plan on course. Each client is given a specialized handbook with a tailored plan that is modified with each week of progress.
Come down to Get Fit America in Boca Raton, Florida- what have you got to lose? Just the weight!

There are a few things that you can do besides eating well and exercising that will expedite your physical transformation:
1. Stay positive
Believe that transformation is possible even when you haven’t seen the changes that you want yet. I am sure that you can site many examples in your life where you didn’t expect something to happen and then whoa, there it was. If you don’t have enough evidence of your own, look around you. Do you know someone who thought they’d never get the job, meet that special person, or lose the weight, and then they did? Haven’t you read amazing stories about people overcoming obstacles and creating tremendous transformation in their lives, many against great odds? These are just people too, like you and me; anyone can overcome.
There is one thing that you can be sure of in life, and that is change. Make sure yours happens quickly, and in the way you want, by staying positive and then taking the steps that you know you should take.
2. Think of Now – take it one day at a time
If you think about your end results, the work becomes overwhelming. Just do what you know you can do today, and when tomorrow becomes today, you’ll deal with that.
3. Keep your expectations realistic
The world wasn’t build in a day. Don’t expect too much too soon, you’ll only get discouraged. Aiming high is nice to say but truly it is easier to stay positive if you set your sites on smaller goals.
4. Eliminate temptation
Remove distractions like foods that you don’t want to eat and people who have habits that you are trying to break. Surround yourself with people that mirror the changes that you want for yourself. Hang out with happy, healthy people, read inspiring e-mails (ie google Ralph Marston) , and listen to some great music that motivates you to get moving and take action – Madonna, Prince, you know the oldie’s but goodies’s.
5. Stop using excuses
I am sure you have heard, or used, them all. When you desire the change the excuses will go away – nothing will stop you from becoming the new you.

Feeling Blue or Stressed out?
Stressed? Go work out. A fitness program helps take your mind off the car payments, the micro managing boss, the terrible twos kids, and life as it is. People with high levels of health and fitness who experience high stress have less sickness than fitness-challenged people with similar stress levels.
Feeling blue? That’s the time for fitness! When you’re down in the dumps, get down and do twenty. Both resistance training and aerobic exercise are proven treatments for depression. When you work out it is a sense of accomplishment. Your endorphins are running through your body saying thank you for making me work hard, it feels good. Remember, the only place success comes before work is in the dictionary!
Come visit Tim, Drew, Cathy, Matt and many of the other trainers at Get Fit America. Today could be your first day of fitness and NOT your last! Located at:

At Get Fit America I have learned about nutrition and fitness that have helped me in my daily life. Working out and eating right don’t have to take up much time or thought. It becomes second nature after you get into the routine and make it part of your everyday lifestyle.
I have found the the simplest way for me to stay on track and eat healthy foods are to make them myself. I prepare a weeks worth of food and freeze it. The night before I take everything I plan to eat for the next day and thaw them out in the refrigerator. This way I don’t even have to think about what I am eating- it is already all prepared for me. You can do this yourself or utilize special services that will do this for you.
At Get Fit America each week I learn the proper way to exercise thus making my unaccompanied work outs more effective and beneficial. Another benefit is that I am always learning something new to keep me interested and excited about staying in shape. There is also less of a chance that I will get hurt because I will go into the exercises on my own with the knowledge and confidence.
If you do anything for yourself this year it should be training at Get Fit America- your body, soul and mind will thank you.
