I was having a discussion with my trainer a couple days ago about the differences between foods and why I eat certain things instead of others. He told me that not all calories were created equal…I was confused a little until he went on explaining ( I can’t remember everything he said, but this was the premise of the conversation ) One gram of protein = 4 Calories vs One gram of fat = 9 Calories. Fat makes you fat…that was it, when I’m eating protein it is making me full faster, giving me less calories than fat and protein is very good for your diet.
Did you know that:
Lack of protein can cause growth failure?
Loss of Muscle Mass?
Decreased immunity?
Weakening of the heart and respiratory system?
Make sure to have protein in your diet!
Thought for the day:
“Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.”
